Thank you very much to the Fundación Aula de Cine Colección Josep M. Queraltó for letting me see the private collection, with unique pieces such as the CINEMATOGRAPH OF THE LUMIÈRE BROTHERS (authentic and in operation), a Buñuel Camera, the Camera of ‘Cameraman’ by Buster Keaton, the phonograph of Thomas Alva Edison, and much more ..
Junto a Josep M. Queraltó en su colección privada 'Colección Josep M. Queraltó
Together with Josep M. Queraltó in his private collection ‘Josep M. Queraltó Collection’, one of the most important film material collectors in Europe, he has gathered for almost 40 years more than 20,000 pieces related to film technique.
Junto al CINEMATÓGRAFO DE LOS HERMANOS LUMIÈRE
Apart from the collection, it is worth highlighting how overwhelming the work done by Josep M. Queralto is, the incredible care and love he has shown to these pieces that are part of the history of mankind; get the cameras, clean them, repair them and get them all to work, taking in many cases to create the missing parts. I don’t know what is more impressive: see the original camera of the Lumière Brothers or that of Buster Keaton or the work that Josep M. has done.
Thanks to María Luisa Pujol and Jordi S. Bonet for opening the doors of this small palace.
