Cambridge Community Television’s HorrorFest 2015
On Thursday, October 29th at 7pm, two days before Halloween, Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) will host an exciting screening of juried video work that addresses the theme of horror. From thrillers to chillers to monster movies, and everything in between, watch short films and video projects that will electrify you and make you jump out of your seat. This festival was open to submissions from all filmmakers working in the horror genre who want to share their work with the community. The result is an incredibly diverse, eclectic viewing experience — the first of its kind at CCTV.
As the horror film is often an overlooked artistic genre of filmmaking, CCTV’s HorrorFest 2015 provides filmmakers with a different cultural context to display their work — and Halloween is the time of year when moviegoers want to give themselves the shivers. The screening will begin at 7PM and be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers, who are strongly encouraged to attend the screening and participate. Though the event will represent the fun of the holiday spirit, the Q&A also offers an opportunity for viewers and makers to create a dialogue about horror as a theme.
